Your graphics card is too old, and does not support Shader Model 3.0, which is required by the game. You will have to upgrade to a newer one if you want to play, I'm afraid.

This happens when we update the game. Due to our high level of integration between the website and the servers, we need to restart both the website and the entire realm whenever we make updates. Sometimes those updates will cause you to need to patch, some won't - it depends on whether we update the Client or not.

The website and realm normally restart after a few minutes, so just be patient and go get a drink or something in the meantime, then come back and restart your PoE Client so it can check for updates.
