Ephemeral Edge + CI

How does this work? Will it instantly kill you? And if it does instantly kill you is there any other build that would benefit from Ephemeral Edge?

Ephemeral Edge would not kill you.
It reduces your maximum life by 10%. Your maximum life with CI is 1. Basically, it won't affect you at all. And you get that lovely ES boost. CI+Ephemeral Edge get along reaaaally well. If I like a game, it'll either be amazing later or awful forever. There's no in-between.

Not that I've ever tried it for myself, so maybe I'm wrong, but last I checked 10% of 1 is .1 and we don't truck in decimal places when it comes to life. It'd be rounded up.

Shame it's a lower level item. I guess...you could off hand it and use double strike...odd
