Leechers VS Ninja Looters

This thread isn't to bash the Ninja Looter, it is actually the oposite.

After playing a long time solo in Closed beta I started grouping in public games in Open Beta. At 1st when I got my items snagged in my face I was going angry and all. But after some different experiments, I am now beginning to prefer to play with those Ninja Looters instead of the opposite, the leecher.

Why? I got my answer this week.

I play hardcore and I always tell myself to not afford a boss until I feel confortable and confident with the encounter to minimize the chances of death. i.e. Proper gear with resistances required, DPS and life. Grouping is also an option since the damage is spread among the group and aura stacking.

So, what I realized is that when you are with the ninja looters the pace goes VERY fast and everything is done within a couple of minutes. The Ninja looters are usually good players.

Or, you can fall into a leecher group undergeared/leveled that does little to no DPS and the fight lasts forever.

This week, I was fighting Vaal in Cruel difficulty with a Ranger. I was 2 levels over and pretty much overgeared. I stood at the same place for the whole battle and been in town once to refill my instant life potion. I saw 5 people die during the fight who were my actual group all the way climbing the pyramid. That is when I realised I was carrying them, alone sending fire arrows while the others were going to town or running in circles like headless chickens. Then, other people jumped in the game for the fight, same scenario. The whole fight took forever and when Vaal was about to die I got unlucky enough to die from the Rocks falling in the room. The rocks hit me for 1/3 of my life so I dont see the problem. Well, I get hit once then hit the instant refill potion. Then 3 other rocks hit me fast enough to send me to Default Ladder. (free ticket)

I start to laugh, check the watch, I have been inside the room for 30 minutes.

30 MINUTES !!!!

So lesson learned, and at this point I don't mind loosing some drops.

The drop assignment timers need to be increased to 15s per rare item, orbs and skill gems, its as simple as that really.

I like your point, OP, but if this turns into a discussion about the loot system I'll lock it quicker than you can say "Hey that was mine!"

No problemo, I understand.

I'm trying to pull the discussion on the other side. Leechers are worse than the ninjas IMO.

Alos: I dont play public at all because i dont like ninjas and I dont like leechers. If at all ill assist killing a boss if someone need help with that. Dont care for the items than though.

To be honest, I sort of miss the old whinge threads about leechers! This is refreshing.
