Item Renaming? Glass Shard.

I think it is a bit weird and slightly confusing there is a weapon called 'Glass Shard'.

I mainly bring this up because twice I picked one up thinking it was an Armour shard, as I just glanced over it's name.

This is not really a big deal but I thought I'd just point it out anyway, it could be useful to create more of a distinction as to what 'shards' are.

I agree, and according the the beta manifesto all item names and even item progression is currently in a provisional state. Hopefully once everything is put in order potentially confusing names will be weeded out.
Do you have any suggestions for what that item type could be called instead?

I didnt think this was similar to an armor shard as currency items have their own distinct color when on the ground. However, when I first started playing in .92, I kept picking up Glass Shards thinking that would be something to shank an enemy with similar to a dagger.

If the name were to be changed Glass Rod would be better, I think.

Maybe Glass Piece, Baton, Cane. Something that makes one think it would be used as Wand.

...you realize that these are, in fact, daggers we're talking about?
I have wandered through insanity;
I have walked the spiral out.
Heard its twisted dreamed inanity
In a whisper, in a shout.
In the babbling cacophony
The refrains are all the same:

are unworthy of the name!"

I would suggest Glass Shank.

The first time I saw it, I assumed it was a wand.
