Why do people buy museum maps?
I held on to a bunch but don't know why people wanted them.

You can corrupt them and since it has 3 bosses, you have 3 shots to get Vaal Fragments. 6 if you get the Twinned mod.

Real answer? Whatever you can sell em for. Whatever someone is willing to pay and what you are willing to accept.
You cant expect a price tag in a video game when you sell items for orbs or for anything else that drops ingame. |

You might find some demand for them on a temporary league earlier on but in Standard? It is hard to believe there is much demand for a 68 map, even if it is used for farming Vaal Fragments.
That said, throw up a ton of them on poe.trade for something small and you might get lucky and have someone buy them all from you. "Danger is like jello, there's always room for more."

" Out of the forum players, how many do you think know exactly the current museum market? If someone gives you the market picture it is either by massive luck or by them checking at poe.xyz.is for you. Your first question in this thread is good since many can know that without checking xyz, your second is not. This message was delivered by GGG defence force. Even before corrupting was a thing, it was because the 3 bosses. Many people I knew thought it gave them a better chance for uniques since the 3 bosses. Probably just superstition though.
