Do chaos and exalts remove crafted mods?

Will crafted mods applied by hideout benches be removed using chaos orbs or exalted orbs?

An exalted orb will not as it will only add a further mod (assuming there is space for one).
A chaos orb will re-roll all the mods on a rare item including any master crafted. |
