Past 3 Days Unplayable Lagspikes (with MTR)

Ok untill 3 days ago the game was working perfect, then 3 days ago i started getting lag spikes that lasted 7-8 seconds some result in dc, alot result in deaths.

I havent made any modifications to my computer this just started randomly.

me and my partner both play on the same connection with an identical computer and she has no problem what so ever its just me.

We both play on wireless with 100Mb Down/15Mb Up

heres my WInmtr (couple mud flat runs and a gorge map this was not the worst time for spikes but still had minor spikes 1-2 seconds)

Have a look at your results - the first link in the trace (your computer) is showing a small amount of packet loss and some pretty bad lag spikes (2% PL / 1379ms Worst).

Hang about until someone smarter than me comes along - but I'd say that your connection to your router isn't performing the best. Might be worth switching your router/modem off for 5 minutes or so and turning it back on, checking your cables (if you're wired in) or checking your distance to router if you're WiFi.

But, like I said, someone smarter than me will have better suggestions.

Massive thanks to GGG for producing such a fun and engaging game, it has taken up faaaaaaar too much of my life over the last 5 years.

Best of luck in the future!
Hi there,

Thanks for posting the report. If you and your wife are on the same network and only you are experiencing the problem then it's likely to be something related to your machine. Given the lag spikes from the first step I would be looking at your wifi adapter. Wifi is convenient, but not reliable. It could be that something is interfering with your connection like a wall or a pot plant.

If you can try playing with a cabled connection and run the tests again, we might see a pattern form.
No longer works at GGG
