Looking for Tips on Tabula Rasa

YOu can use tabula with any build since it gives you a 6l with whatever color gems you like, you could go witch and do a popular arc or incinerate. You could do neversinks tornado shot ranger guide. One good thing you can do if your levelling for the first time is use item rarity as your 6th link ( perhaps aurseize gauntlets as well.) Make some currency as you level. Eventually you will find a good rare or unique 5l is better in most cases then a tabula but its a great levelling chest.
Tabula rasa is the best chest in the game. It is legitimately over powered, but no one complains, because hey, we like being over powered.

Honestly if you're new and you have one there is no need to use anything else. Just make up for your lost chest stats with a 5-6 defensive passive nodes such as resist passives. And you're set. The added leech and clear speed makes up for lost defenses.

Wearing a tabula rasa will not make your immortal call set up any less effective.

A guy killed Atziri with literally 1 hp. So of course you could also kill her with a Tabula. You can do all content and a Tabula and there is no reason not to wear one ^^

My build before used
and see where the build would go as far as it could. then I got lucky this came
. and I got 15%-18% more resist from physical dmg.
There is no such thing as a build that revolves around tabula rasa. However, tabula rasa is needed for ANY build because the player has not 6-linked a particular armor required for the build.

Considering that you are new, just be informed that 6 link is extremely hard to get in this game.
My Tabula is more so used for testing! if i think of a cool gem combo but i dont want to waste Chromes just to see if its worth it i throw on the tabula in the current setup and do some swapping around and see where it leads me! then color my gear accordingly! Tabula has saved me so many chromes on testing i would have otherwise had to spend in order to do! early game is a very fun way to speed through the lvling process till around act 3 cruel/act 1 merciless! from there you should be looking for at least a decent 5L replacement! im not a fan of this myself because running a 6L like that can give a false sense of what you can actually do! a decent rolled 4L is better in almost any situation defensive wise!
But in this game a strong offense translates to defense as well!

Be very wary of what you eat while wearing it. Those stains just don't come out.

Often times a Tabula is a much better defensive option than a solid 5l chest, simply because the extra socket allows you to add in things like Life Leech, Stun, Elemental Proliferation, or even a curse-on-hit setup (like Temp Chains for a ranged character).

Of course a regular 6-link should still be the ultimate goal, but it's a loooong road to 1500 fusings.

A well supported (Tabula) EK build will get you through the game no problems.

I found it so boring I had to stop at mid-cruel.

What were the supports on EK? I'd like to try the build and I have a Tabula sitting in my stash. :)

Thanks!

I genuinely can't remember but there has to be some documentation on it out there. It hit damn hard and leeched as much as it needed.

EK+Faster Projectiles (this increases the distance it will go out)+faster casting+spell echo+Life Leech+and as for the 6th link you could go with your choice of an elemental gem to add more damage! added fire most likely! i like the new phys to lightning gem myself though i havent had a chance to test it out on EK yet! some of the gems will have to be swappped in as you lvl such as life leech from life gain on hit and such! LL can also be swapped out later once you have leech on gear for even more damage! im sure there are many but this is a pretty standard 6L setup that will do well with most any caster skill!
:Results may very.. Void where prohibited!

I was able to get to level 85 in the last 1 week hardcore league Wearing a tabula without dying. I also currently farm dominus in bloodlines with my mf char wearing a tabula, making 150+ alts per hour, plus chaos recipe, etc. both of these chars were the same build, dual flame totem blood magic marauder. So if you're looking for a build that is perfectly viable endgame while wearing a tabula, flame totem is Perfect.

The totems tank everything for you,so you are still safe without the armor, and flame totem is so much better with 6L. I'm able to leap slam over all the mobs otw to Dom when I farm, barely ever dropping in hp. Ofcourse 3 cwdt setups helps with this too... Enduring cry/immortal call... Decoy totem/totem res... And enfeeble/inc aoe.

Every half decent build will "bring you through the game" at least if that means get you to a level where you can start mapping.

Really i don´t know how ppl can make builds that fail in merciless.. its really hard to do if you don´t try to do it on purpose (e.g. taking no life nodes, going CI at lvl 30 etc..)
