If you can cap your crit chance without void battery, then the difference is that Pledge of Hands gets you more cast speed, and Void Battery gets you more spell damage. Since when using Void Battery you can just replace that guy's Faster Casting link with a level 21 Spell Echo, you're basically going from +50 increased and +79 more to (with 2 perfect ones) +40 increased and +70 more cast speed, and at the same time going from +160 (again assuming perfect) to +280 increased spell damage (assuming all + power charge passives were taken), +290 if you include the fact that you now have a 20q spell echo instead of 0q in Pledge.

If you have sufficiently many +%increased spell damage sources already, then the Pledge's +more cast speed could theoretically win out in overall DPS output. However, I think it is literally impossible to acquire that much +spell damage to make that benefit tangible (you'd need something like +1000% from sources other than the pledge of hands), and further your other spell crit sources would need to be enormous for my initial statement to even be relevant.

Thanks for answering.I think I'll save up for 2 Voids.My current dps now is only 15k with max power charges ( 6 ).I'm level 84 ..so I would've expected a lot more.But it seems the gear you have really DOES matter.

Can anybody tell me aprox. how much extra damage I will have with 1 Void or/and 2 ? I think I have around 8-9k without the wand and no power charges.

Assuming 'Global Crit Chance' is better than 'Crit Chance for Spells' , I'll give up at almost 200% crit chance for spell ( shield + wand ) , but get ~120% Global Crit.Lose 65% spell + 120% spell ( from the voids ) = 185% spell , but get 200% at max charges ..Also I will lose 19% cast speed but get around 35-40 from the Voids.How can the differences be so huge after I get only 20% extra cast speed , 15% spell and replace 'crit chance for spells' with 'glob crit chance' ? Sorry , but I don't get at all how my damage output is calculated and what matters the most .. Is there a web site or something where I can find out this ? I've seen a site or two , but I don't get them.

hard to tell, since we dont know your passive tree and other gear. friend of mine has, if i recall it right, like 50k or so?!? with 3 palyer monster hp white 76 map mobs are oneshot and blue mobs 2 shot. whatever his dps is.. it is clearly good enough. (voidbattery user btw)

its not better, it is exactly the same, however, 130% is better as 99%

your math is completly wrong :-) if you read my post i made on the firt page, recall the section about 2 void + powercharges up. you gain, depending on teh rolls of the voidbatteries ~20-25 passive points worth of pewpew. that is far of being anything were the word "only" would be useful. also, castspeed does scale exceptionally well, especially with arc

there are, but iam not sure how good they are. in the end, most of the stuff is pure intuition. but as i stated in my first post, you gain!!! an ugrade on every stat that is important for a caster, which are castspeed and critchance and to some degree spelldamage. the increased critchance lets your critdamage passives (and hopefully gem) scale much better and the spelldamage bumps up the base damage value of which everything scales

This is my current tree , with the mention that I've 'blown' my last 2,3 points on things cuz I didn't knew what's best for me ..I can change that with some regrets anyway ..maybe you guys can tell me if my tree is ok and what should I give up ( due to the fact that the mentioned points aren't offering enough to invest in them ) and what should I go for next.

Also , I'm not using inc crit dmg or chance because I'm using light pen gem ..which I find MUCH better ..even tho' the damage output is lower ..it's clearly more effective.( thanks again to the fellow exile that helped me with that ).Alongside my arc combo ( arc/spell echo/fast cast/light pen ) , I find life leech very necessary for me ..I would die pretty often if I'll stop using that .. ( CI + Ghost Reaver ).This is my tree & gear I use mostly :
