Herald of Ash + which arrow skill
" I've played pure Tornado Shot and Split Arrow and both are very efficient and fast map clearing characters. The point of the character I'm trying to make though is to focus a little more on Magic Find, as well as play something new. Basically, I want to use this as best I can: 241% IIR / 58% IIQ should give me a nice amount of rares / uniques, but it's the proliferation that has to be doing most of the killing. With Tornado Shot or Split, everything is dying from the projectiles and I'll lose the bonus gems in armor. But as far as single target, wouldn't Frenzy with 7 Frenzy charges win hands down? 110% base damage + damage and attack speed per charge. Last edited by VixTrader#2228 on Jan 24, 2015, 3:59:21 AM

" Uhh... PA is 150+% DE with levels. " Not even close. Frenzy's 110% DE is peanuts to BA's 130% or PA's 150%. The {12%ipd,5%aspd}/frenzycharge of Frenzy isn't enough additive bonuses to overcome the huge multiplicative difference that BA and PA have over it. Especially when it comes to overkill, aspd means nothing, and 12*7=84%ipd is a drop in the bucket assuming you have large increased% damage scaling. (Note also that BA gets 57% ipd on its own from leveling.) |

" how do you figure? poison arrow remains at 100% base damage while burning arrow is 130, meaning it does 30% more damage per projectile right off the hop. the poison cloud means nothing. when i have my lvl 18 burning arrow equipped my total main hand attack damage is 7901-18211 vs lvl 16 poison arrow of 5412-12547. poison arrow is not better than burning arrow in this case when regarding overkill damage for herald of ash. the main reason why its SO much higher for BA is probably because the converted fire damage also scales with +fire damage and +elemental damage where as the additional chaos damage from poison arrow does not. however that is what makes burning arrow the best as well, because scaling its damage up with fire/elemental also scales the burn damage of herald of ash at the same time so you're essentially double dipping your bonuses. for the record HoA overkill burn dmg scales with +fire, +elemental, +damage over time, +area of effect, AND +burn damage Last edited by xMustard#3403 on Jan 24, 2015, 9:44:48 AM

All above posters are incorrect.
You want ice shot, with either pyre ring or cold 2 fire passive gem(while pyre will make you the strongest, it will nerf a bit of your item findings due to the 'destroy enemy on kill' modifier, which destroys the loot with the enemy) I would suggest, for the goal you're seeking, a setup similar to this.. (items based on a moderate budget) Chin-sol Socketed with.. Iceshot+faster attacks+weapon elemental Damage+physical projectile attack damage+cold 2 fire If you can get 6 socket, add either elemental proliferation or iir gem to the chain. Kaoms heart, random; only thing that changes is the fire damage. Those unique nubuck boots, vn iiq boots Azurie or w/e h the gloves are called Rats nest, top iir helm imo I'd go with decent rare iir jewelery, as apposed to uniques; there ignomom amulet isn't too bad for the build though. As for the quiver, your going to want at least life+resist there; 75+life, 20+ each resist - iir if possible? Anywho, Goodluck Edit: I should mention, for jewelery; you want.. Belt - implicit having % enhanced damage, explicit having %enhanced Elemental with Weapons Rings - implicit having Crit chance, explicit having flat physical damage + %enhanced Elemental Damage with Weapons + %enhanced fire damage Last edited by TreatsForTricks#0500 on Feb 1, 2015, 6:20:57 PM
