How do I calculate my total dps (crit build)?
I have tried searching online without any luck.
So basically I am playing a Windripper build with 94.1% crit chance and 465% crit multiplayer. My tooltip dps shows as 35.368dps I know I do not crit every time but it's quite close to that. So do you just multiply tooltip dos with crit multiplayer, ie: 35k x 4.65? IGN - Sparky_RAMPAGE

crit chance & multi are already factored in your tooltip dps.

When two witches watch two watches, which witch watches which watch? If the witches watching watches watch the same watch while you watch which witch watches which watch, they switch watches; then, the watch switching witches watch which watch you watch. OK, how on earth are people getting 150k dps with Tornado Shot, it just seems impossible?
And not talking about the 1mil+ dps etc that I see on forums. IGN - Sparky_RAMPAGE

It's pretty easy to explain, +1 boots with 4 Empower and 21 Auras = 26 Auras.
Blood Rage + LL = a bajillion attack speed. Nice gear = win game. IGN: Chundaziri 8/8 Ambush/Invasion Complete - 21/06/2014 8/8 Warbands/Tempest Complete - 10/08/2015 Last edited by Chundadragon#1131 on Jan 17, 2015, 10:19:35 AM

You actual DPS as a crit build is abit lower than the tooltip. What is your chance to hit? If it is say 85% your final crit chance is 94.1x0.85 = 80%, at least for monsters level 78. That's happening because if you roll a crit, there is a seperate roll of your chance to hit, that may downgrade your critical to a normal attack. This is not calculated by the tooltip. Accuracy is actually more important than what the tooltip is displaying. Also your final chance to crit, taking into acount that your initial hit has a 15% chance to miss altogether is 68% for level 78 monsters. The first part(of the attack missing altogether) is taken in acount by the tooltip, but the second roll for downgrading is not. In a hypothetical build that has 95% crit chance and 95% accuracy, the final crit chance would have been 86%, and that's the maximum crit chance an attack can reach(spells can have actual 95%).
"Evasion also gives an implicit chance to avoid taking critical strikes from attacks.[2] Critical strikes from spells can't be evaded. If an incoming critical strike succeeds its hit roll, a second independent hit roll is performed to determine if the critical is evaded or not. If this roll succeeds, a critical strike is scored. If it fails, the attack still hits, but only for regular damage." http://pathofexile.gamepedia.com/Evasion https://www.pathofexile.com/forum/view-thread/417287 - Poutsos Flicker Nuke Shadow Last edited by Poutsos#0458 on Jan 17, 2015, 11:28:49 AM

By the way, dont forget the damage on tool tip is per projectile so Tornado Shot with GMP will do 15 projectile.
Also, on serious note, dps on tooltip is not important at all. Clearing speed + fun factor is bigger then dps tooltip Have fun! And go buy my stuff...
