Gamestar used to be good, since 2004 or so. Now it's total crap and the ratings aren't based on facts mostly.

yeah i know. Gamestar dropped a lot. Well i wait until a Review from PC Games, PC Action, Gamespot, 4 Players and the games Machine.

great job guys. Most of the comments there are chanting: "the Diablo 3 Killer is here" :)

congrats to GGG for sure...but they have to stop using the term "diablo3 killer"...even i can make a better game than diablo3.....

diablo3 committed suicide
When you judge another, you do not define them, you define yourself
Some of those negatives make no sense at all.

PvP is unbalanced? No shit, it always will be, PvP in PoE isn't meant to be taken seriously, and it always be impossible to balance. It being unbalanced is not a "negative" as the feature is just for fun.

Small inventory? Not really.....

Magic potions? How is that a downside? They are great, unless you happen to be too stupid to remember which ones do what and too slow to use them when needed, in which case you should consider playing farmville and not PoE.

Weak melee hit feedback? What does that even mean?
I'm intrested in what IGN is going to say about the game, since they gave Diablo such a high score prematurly.

So far it has a 9.3 rating by 113 gamers and nothing yet from IGN. Where they gave D3 a 9.5 and it has an 8.7 from user reviews but only 57 reviewers.
If you think I care what you think, you need more of a life than I do.

Why would they test a game which is still in beta? That's pretty shady...

Open betas in F2P-titles are not the same as in full-price-titles. It's a common practice that F2P-Publishers/Developers call the release of their games open beta; same here: PoE is released, that's fact.

Interesting critique.

I would concur with most of their graphics/sound complaints, but it's not a big deal. However I think the lack of plot and story in quests are GREAT, less is more.
It was just hellish playing D3 for example and constantly each time you played getting the plot thrown in your face over and over and over. It felt like playing a straight up rpg game. Not an action rpg. I mean it is loot we care about, the story is just in the way.

Having a cool story doesn't give something replayability. Would really suck if GGG started to be to creative when it came to quests in new acts they will make. Keep it oldschool and simple.
I like the graphics and the sound, I dont see how this game can be critiqued so much in those regards when Diablo 3 and Torchlight 2 graphics are so much worse.

The only ARPG that tried to make ground breaking graphics was Sacred 2, and it ran like crap for most people and kept on crashing with elite textures or physx enabled, as it couldnt handle the memory load due to only being a 32 bit app.

As for the PVP, this isnt meant to be a balanced game, its a gear grinding ARPG. The PVP is just there for fun.

The only RPG thats ever correctly handled balanced PVP imo is Guild Wars, and since that games primary focus was the PVP, it suited te game very well. However as a result, the PVE was weaker.

I have no problem with any of the above.Change none of it is just fine with me.Even preferred.I hate it when games try to completely redesign themselves and fail.
