Best base staff for physical staffer?

Hello~ Currently running a semi-self found staffer build and am wondering what would be the best base staff to attempt to roll the best %age physical on. i also have a few questions about crafting.
Granite recipe, worth the time and granites? Rustic sash recipe over alteration rolling? What are the top 5 stats I am looking for on a physical weapon, i know %age phys, flat phys, and attack speed, thats about it. |

Chance a Hegemony's staff (Judgement Staff).
Don't try to craft unless you are ludicrously rich (several hundreds of exalts). --- If you were to try to craft, the Maelstrom Staff (18% block base) is generally the best despite having lower dps. An extra 6% block is invaluable. Looking at standard, the two real options are: - Gale Song Maelstrom Staff (18% block, 752 dps (1.4 base aspd), 9.21 base crit, 37 multi, +130 acc) - Onslaught Song Lathi (12% block, 815 dps (1.59 base aspd), 9.01 base crit, 37 multi, +103 acc) Last edited by pneuma#0134 on Jan 8, 2015, 4:50:50 PM

For the most part, im trying to roll something a tad bit better than my current staff So overall it'd be cheaper to farm the currency or chance an era? instead of trying to craft one from scratch. |

Hegemony's Staff is just under 500dps with +1 power charge, 18% block, and free power charge generation.
The best part of chancing for it is that you might accidentally get a Pledge of Hands from the same base, which is also fantastic. The expected cost of chancing << the expected cost of crafting for 500 dps with et/ex. |
