IGN = _Aladin_ Hello! This is a general outline for a Cold Snap build that I've done few times in past leagues (also doing this in Bloodlines). Once in a while people on stream ask me for it, so I figure I'll write a quick guide. It's a very safe and fun build to play with, especially for hardcore leagues. However, it does require a bit of currency, so not really a suitable build for beginners or a new-league starter build (although you can still play it, the only item required is Romira's Banquet unique ring).
Pros & Cons
Pros:
- Safe, safe, safe. Very little damage taken when mapping. - Feel like a boss Running around and freeze stuff. - Party loves you, especially melee players in hardcore leagues. - Freeze everything, even high level bosses due to the way elemental proliferation works. - High effective life with the amazing combo of Pledge of Hands and Cloak of Defiance. Cons: - High startup cost to be really effective. - Low overall DPS. Recommend to play with a friend that does glass cannon build. - Only source of life leech is from Warlord's mark.

The grinds is boring and I'll create other builds to play: http://poeurl.com/zaDdXW7 Gears & Gems: Main weapon, and the main skill set up: Cold Snap - Cold Penetration - Faster Casting - Elemental Proliferation - Increase AoE (replace with Con. Effect for boss). 6th link will be high level Empower. Quality priority: Faster Casting > Increase AoE > Cold Snap > Ele prolif. Main chest, and curses set up: Ball Lightning/ Ice nova - Curse on Hit - Frostbite - Elemental Weakness - Faster Casting/GMP (not really necessary). Self-cast Warlord's Mark when you see a reflect pack. Helm, and movement skill set up. Glove, and aura set up. Boots, and CWDT set up.
