General Discussion - Rainbowstrides vs Atziri's Step??? - Forum

I'm leveling a Tornado Shot character at the moment and I'm confused to which boots I should go with Atziri's Step or Rainbowstrides. Basically what's more viable for me 20-25% Block chance to spells or 14-16% chance to dodge spells. To note I've gone Phase Acrobatics in my tree. do you have any block chance at all? as far as i know bow users generally dont have block or atleast not a lot atziri is probably better for you cuz it just adds dodge chance where rainbows need block chance in the first place to add anything. Rainbowstride gives you 20-25% of your block chance to block spells. 25% of 0 is still 0. Bows are two-handed so you can't use a shield or dual wield so as long as you are using a bow you will have 0% block chance. Hence Rainbowstride will always give a bow user 0% chance to block spells. Go with Atziri's Step. Edit: I see that I was beaten to the punch. I don't think either would be optimal. tri-res+move speed+life rare boots or something is probably the best option. Many lewt. Much desync. Such rewarding. Wow. Good catch. :) Doesn't really change the advice though. 6% spell block with perfect relevant rolls on both items isn't very appealing at all. Having enough to be able to ignore resistance lowering curses is useful. If you don't need the res, and unless you are using rearguard, what were the Rainbowstrides going to do for you? Many lewt.
