Thanks to PoE, Christmas was bittersweet.

I spent the whole day playing with my extremely nooby parents, which know very little about the game, and what's valuable and what's not, and they both found an Exalted Orb in Torment League while we were progressing through Cruel difficulty.

I loved spending the whole day in Path of Exile with my parents, but I was a bit jelly they both got an Exalted Orb.

Anyone else play with their family on the holidays? If so tell us about it! :)

I have the pleasure of playing with my wife, who is way better at this game than I am. We married three weeks ago and she even kicked my butt in the races. We've tried a lot of games together but this is the first one that has stuck for any amount of time. I should mention that the ability to play Sims... I mean, decorate the hideout plays a large part in that interest.

I am a little sour that I get all the bad maps and she gets the Exalted orbs. I cannot complain or I will not receive supper.

lol nice. I think i will show my parents how to create their hideouts soon. They will probably benefit a lot from crafting with them.

Hmm my family sang Christmas carrols and got fucked up. No PoE. I managed to escape like an hour to make some sales.

Christmas Eve: Find an Alpha's Howl AND Taryin's Shiver in the same map, plus some other goodies from mapping all day.

Christmas Day: Somehow 1 shot myself to spell reflect in a 62 daily mission. It was a 6-8 stack Flameblast on a half-dozen mobs (tops), and I had level ~15 AA, 4,800 HP, and 87% fire resist. My Ruby ran out a second before the Flameblast went off. What I don't understand is that I'd done much bigger Flameblasts in maps--with and without Rubies up--and never came close to killing myself. The best part? 50% of the way through level 84.
