Best video card for playing poe
Hey guys I have a p7-1120 with a 1920 x 1080 resolution screen and a 300W power supply, here's a link to full specs
http://h10025.www1.hp.com/ewfrf/wc/document?cc=us&lc=en&docname=c03012519#N1223 What's the best and cheapest video card that I can buy, that works with this comp, to play poe on max graphics and frames per second with no lag? Update: I ended up buying a 850W bronze psu with a gtx 650ti. I now run the game at max settings with 100 - 150 frames. Thanks everyone for your help. I hear NASA has the hardware you're looking for :D
But seriously, even the very best cards I've seen lag when you have several CoC chars at once or the like. But you can get decent performance with most of the newer cards. well I'm just looking for something that runs the game. Right now I play on the worst possible graphics and I still only get like 5 - 15 frames... And don't get me started on bosses. That's an insta rip every single time from how much I lag. And certain effects like bleed and rain makes the game basically unplayable for me.

A 780 will get you far, also the new 900 seeies should be good. I'm running a single Titan with i7 4930k procesor and I usually dont drop below 100 fps on my fakener. I tried doing it at 4k res, and that made me lag a bit, but not too much while procing alot of discharges.

" It appears you have a PCI Express x16 slot on the motherboard, so I would suggest any decent Nvidia card you can find. I had a similar problem to you and I spent $25 on an extra 2GB RAM stick (which you shouldn't need since you have 8 GB) and $30 on a 1 GB Nvidia card (210 series I think). I went from 4 - 7 FPS after the Forsaken Masters patch to having 25 - 50 FPS once I installed the new components. If you have the cash to spend, I would recommend getting a 780 or a 900 like Rasvaag suggested. Last edited by Spoonmann#2745 on Dec 26, 2014, 1:01:39 PM

Something around a gtx 460 will be fine. I know they don't sell that card anymore, but you can find something in its tier.
I switched from that card to an r9 280x DD and it made 0 difference in poe. http://www.tomshardware.com/reviews/gaming-graphics-card-review,3107-7.html Whoops, sorry, didn't check out your computer specs first, you prolly don't have the power supply to run a card like I mentioned, but the second page of the article has a good low power suggestion. http://www.tomshardware.com/reviews/gaming-graphics-card-review,3107-2.html Try to be the person your dog thinks you are. " I did that too lol, know what i did? Before buying it i asked on the D3 forum if it would run the game since at the time that one had to run on it. Got a positive answer that it would and bought the PC. You should do that too, just post some specs from the PC and let others tell you if it runs the game it should be able to run. May be too late now, sorry but it might be useful in the future. :) Have a nice day and happy playing. ;) |
