Between the spawnkilling, cast on death spam, traps everywhere, loads of flask/respawn/requeue bugs and the massive desync and lag, this literally could not have been worse.

Unless theres monumental improvement in short order, its hard to see this being any more popular than cutthroat. And the fact that the season went live in this form makes even mediocre improvement seem pretty unlikely.
