Bloodlines will show how it really affects builds like dual wield. There are no items at start nor will most get that easy to higher content with "racing gear" and the new block situation right now. I can hear the poor souls already cry in endless torment. And the changes were really needed it was too easy and exploitable. I guess sc wont be much touched anyway, there are complete broken items there, so the loudest here should calm down, you got enough choices to deal with this new situation. Dont freak out, wait for the final changes and find maybe another way meanwhile to migrate some damage too. Nobody is considering that there might be some new gems that can increase block in some way? or that block has been reworked with a new base or something?
For example 2h users have been complaining about lack of defence.. maybe these new counterattack gems is a way to "block" for them aswell as for all others, so in order to balance it, they have to tone down block nodes overall? Block is a nice defence, but also requires quite a bit of points which make you suffer offensively. I don't see why they would nerf block and keep other much more potent abilities as is (crit). Also why would they nerf block that much and then on top nerf block in acrobatics. Personally I would be very surprised if they nerf block as much as it looks like initially - doesn't make sense. " Its pretty simple actually, GGG wants you to die more. They dont want ANYBODY to hit lvl 100. They are already pretty pissed that a few people have done it already. Killing block kills the last safe playstyle and build option in the game. Now everybody can get killed by the overtuned elemental caster bosses. |

No Alpha or GGG member has said anything remotely indicating this is the case, and at least one alpha member has come as close to saying "no" as they can without actually breaking NDA. There's already a gem that raises block and automatically reacts whenever you block successfully, so the idea that things are going to be radically changed by the introduction of a gem that does exactly what an existing gem already does seems a little bit weird to me.
