what is a guild raid?

You want some of this, bro?

D.Y.E.L.
Like, take over a zone and challenge another guild to try and take it?

That could form the basis of another league. Cut-throat style SC league.

- Create new character
- Join a faction (Rogue Exiles or Exiles)
- Play through Normal/Cruel/Merciless under the faction title
- Each zone is owned by a faction
- Completing or traversing zones not owned by your faction incorporates a higher IIQ/IIR
- Players from each faction may randomly enter your instance
- Enemy instances have a higher chance of bringing in opposing players
- Friendly instances have a higher chance of bringing in friendly players
- Killed enemy players drop Ears
- Ears can be used as currency with masters (or faction masters) to purchase uniques/levelled gems
- After a set number of enemy exile kills you get to claim the zone (which is good because your faction is less likely to get molested there, but also bad because you don't get the innate IIR/IIQ bonus)

I'd probably recommend having something like - "Warning - Invading Enemy Exile is 10 levels above you" pop up, so you can jump into your faction global chat and request a bodyguard/help.

Now, the BEST part -

- Endgame maps are not faction based, but GUILD based
- After completing Act 3 Dominus Kill you can select a guild
- Your Guild leader gets a new hideout to decorate, called the Guild Hideout
- The Guild hideout gets a new master, the Guild Cartographer
- The first guild to succesfully run a map now "owns" that zone
- At random times, when that map is being run by another guild, your cartographer may open a portal to it
- If you enter the portal you can go and kill whoever is running the map and then claim the map as your own to run
- If they kill you, then their guild becomes owner of the map
- Running a map not owned by your guild gives you an IIR/IIQ bonus
- Lastly, every time someone dies in a map owned by your guild, you recieve Guild Ears which can only be used to purchase decorations and trophies for the Guild Hideout

Goddamn, this sounds awesome. I am so FUCKING PUMPED.

Too much coffee :( Idea probably sucks.
