Monster life leech.

Im 1 week old player on hc and would like to know just how important this is. Do I have to be afraid or is it waste of nods to go 10 extra just to get bloodless. Im playing semi-melee.
Yup, it's a waste if you don't play PvP (and you most likely don't). Monsters with leech just take a bit longer to kill, nothing more.
Wish the armchair developers would go back to developing armchairs.

Necro!

i know leech has changed....but playing my incinerate build and monster leech is scary as all hell. i can hit a rare with leech for half a second and no amount of life pots will keep me from dying from it. thats with 4k life atm.

is there something im missing to counter this? or is it just a side effect of incinerate casting every .07 seconds so im getting leeched at a ridiculous rate. any input would be welcome

other than the notable that prevents monster leech ofc. that just wont work into my build

It sounds like you're confusing leech with Corrupting Blood. Leech = a percentage of the damage the monster deals is returned to that monster as life, just like player leech. Corrupting Blood = every time you hit the monster, you get a stack of bleed.

Assuming I'm correct, you need a flask with the Staunching suffix. They remove all bleeds from you on activation and make you bleed-immune for their duration. Every build should have one.
Have you done something awesome with Sire of Shards? PM me and tell me all about it!
Preferrably it'd be on a utility flask, such as a Quicksilver. Life and Mana Flasks end when their respective resource(s) hit 100%, which will prematurely end the Bleeding Immunity.
ahh ok. im sure you are correct...i was just going off of what was happening as i didnt remember what mods the monster had. ill definitely get some staunching flasks...just been trying to gain some levels before i did a ton with the equipment so i could use decent lvl stuff. thank you for the response
