Struggling to find a reasonable 2h Mace
So it appears that I've been using my level 12 rare 2 handed mace for a while now... just can't seem to find anything better on the ground and most of the 2 handers in trade chat are too high a level (50s or so).
Should I just go an get an ordinary 2h mace from one of the NPCs in town and hope I pick up a better one, or should I maybe switch to another 2h that uses sweep until I get a better mace? |

Pick up white 2H maces and use Orb of Transmutation on them, you might get a % increased physical damage roll. Also, save up Blacksmith Whestones and use them on a white 2H mace for 20% quality. Then, you can upgrade it with a Orb of Transmutation or Orb of Alchemy.
What level are you now? IGN: Indiiii Last edited by indiicheng#2249 on Feb 7, 2013, 5:16:42 AM

Whats the benefit of upgrading the quality of a white item and THEN upgrading it to either yellow or blue? What happens when you do that? And Maltes - I got lucky with a 91% increased yellow 2H mace - just found it while farming /leveling up. If you just join big groups, do decent XP runs, you will find a 2Handed mace along the way at some point. Just get higher leveled and then try and join ninja groups where you can just pounce on the nearest mace you find.

When you upgrade the quality white to blue or yellow it keeps the bonus.

THe point of using whetstones early on the white item is it only takes 4 to make it 20% quality, if hte item is rare it will take 20.
So pick the best base weapon type avaiable to your level. 4 whetstones then alchemy orb it and hope it gets ipd. |

" This is absolutely good advice. My marauder is going axes instead of maces, I did this last night and made this axe: |

I know there was a 10 level range where I was using a vendor bought blue with 91% physical damage. It had good sockets and the damage I needed.
You should have no trouble finding one in trade though, although you might have to grab it a few levels early and just wait. It makes leveling easier, when you have gear to look forward to. EDIT: Anyone care to sell me a Karui Maul with 350+ top end damage and 20% ias? Last edited by Albane01#5350 on Feb 7, 2013, 2:45:33 PM
