I just realised that you have a point, our brains like to follow paterns, so i think that i coud missed few? I usualy look for hsllo and rings, or whatever base i,m needing.
I catched my self few times overlooking even the orange ones since my brain was set on a hunt for quivers... Like the gorilla in the crowd :D ing: mater_suspiriorum_pl

I animated one once, it went fishing by itself!
Sadly didn't catch anything in those few seconds :-( "Metas rotate all the time, eventually the developers will buff melee"

I doubt an experienced player may miss one. People are so used to items/orbs names, that differently named item will immediately grab their attention, not even need to watch carefully.
Because it's unusual. Brain works like that-it will scan all of the current drops and completely ignore and forget about them in a sudden, unless a "watchdog timer" is set to it. Make an experiment - set the goal to find an onyx amulet and forget watching the loot. Your brain will warn you and show the item whenever it drop, though you are not paying special attention. I personally can define presence of an uncommon orb drop (exalt/divine/eternal) with peripheral vision, not even paying attention to the loot, I swear. Not to mention a damn fishing rod, I will grab it in the air before it drop. This is a buff © 2016

" nah, its not. i play on a 50" flatscreen from distance (2-3 meters) and the more tired i get the less i can see the difference between white and orb color f.e. sometimes i miss blue maps because i cant spot the border very well. i can still read the chat tho ;P a bit more usability in poe would be sooo nice. but im asking for years now. just imagine you put something from stash on your mouse like you do for /itemlevel but all identical items get highlighted? i have 4 tabs of gems, now try to find a specific one :) you wanna sell 3 of the same maps? not an easy task right now if you have a full tab of maps. etc etc. there are plenty of minor usability tweaks that would make poe a 100% better game. but i dont have a feeling that this is something GGG cares of.
