IMO this is one of the most hacked online games since there is no antihack protection and hacks are very easy to find and use. And who doesn't want to bother with free hacks there is always tons of RMT websites where you can buy orbs or items.
But for me its a win when I succeed buying item I want and make build I want to play end game with it. It takes much more time but it feels that much better when you accomplish things without cheating. Too bad GGG is not really forthcoming when it comes to solo players. Never had any expensive end game item drop even thou I play since beta. My best item drop ever was The Bringer of Rain that drop in lvl 66 Tropical Island map. GGG has a unique marketing stratedgy that paid off pretty well for them. Instead of selling weapons armor or in game currency for small amounts like $5 which is relatively common in f2p games. They sell badges that say "look at me, I am above paying for progress and therefore am superior to people who choose to do so" for $35. It's basically like selling political stickers for cars, anti drug shirts, etc. If there is a product that generates negativity (p2w) you can sell a product that states your against it.

I missed out on the P2W :( I want to win too.
Although, to be fair, it's kind of cool that winning is an exclusive privilege. Next time, GGG should sell us different wins. Devolving Wilds
