Hatred + Cold To Fire?

Does it work?
If it doesn't (which to me it seems that it doesnt) then Why?

Hatred has the type "Cold", CtF has also the type Cold? It shoudl work right?
it would do wonders in my AoF build...

It has to be linked to the skill you're doing damage with, not the hatred aura.

Bollocks, so essentially it's useless as pretty much every other support on a melee skill adds more damage than the 50% of 30% of CtF.

It works with herald of ice which is kind of cool

I could see it in an Avatar of Fire build. That would end up converting 100% of Hatred into Fire. Using a skill that also converts 50% of Phys into Fire like Molten Strike or Infernal Blow would get you 100% Phys > Fire and 100% Cold > Fire. Throw in Herald of Ash and Added Fire. Then scale all of that with a huge Phys Damage weapon and tons of Phys% / Fire% Passives (or just crit).

EDIT: Also throw in Herald of Ice since that will convert completely to Fire and scale with Cold to Fires %bonus.
