i have a friend or 5 who really want to get into beta with me

Beta testers are periodically selected to receive friend invite keys, but it's random. You may get one very soon, or it may take a while.
Closed Beta/Alpha Tester back after a 10-year hiatus.

You get a friend beta key the same way that you get an original key, randomly. Could be fast could be slow.
