Pack size/more magic increase the maps drop?
+%pack size, +% more magic, +%more rare , etc.
These mods increase the drops in that map. map drop is also increased? For example, map with +50% quantity +50% pack size -> (100%+50%)*(100%+50%) = 225% -> about 225% chance to get map in that map. is this correct? |

That's what we hope, but RNG is RNG. ;)
And no, not "225% chance to get a map", it's "+225% chance to get a map". That's a hell of a difference. The first garantees you 2 maps, the second depends on the base (if base map drop chance is only 20%, this would lead to 44% chance to get a map). 3.5 build: https://www.pathofexile.com/forum/view-thread/2299519 Last edited by Peterlerock#5171 on Oct 10, 2014, 2:34:59 AM

" Magic and Rare mobs don't increase the amount of map drops as significantly as you seem to think. They do, however, allow higher level maps to drop, which is vital in sustaining your map pool. |

" A map has an unknown base value. Having mobs in a map that drop loot, and usually a good amount (magic and rare), increase the chance to get a map by increasing the amount of drops you get. |

im my experience, pack size is better than any other mod regarding map drops
by comparison % quality seems to hardly make a difference ... Dogs Summoner - http://www.pathofexile.com/forum/view-thread/885199

" Pardon my obtuseness in the previous post you replied to, and my inability to read the OP's post. I somehow misread "These mods increase the drops in that map" as "These mods increase the map drops in that map", which is why I posted as such. Thanks for your clarification (: Last edited by consca#1170 on Oct 10, 2014, 5:11:12 AM

packsize means you need to run less maps per lvl

From my point of view , and based on my maps run :
It look like no matter the mod on the map , the quantity of the map, the IIQ of the character used , there s no difference. I always run my maps with pack size or more rare/magic mob, alway put Q20 on lvl75+....some week i got 25+ lvl 75+ maps...the week after my 75+ map pool is back to 0. Carto Box help a lot to sustain it...when it pop, which is almost never for me in map lvl 75+. I think the drop values and the increase of it ( by chiseling the map/ running specific mod/ playing with IIQ Toons) are so low that , even on 500 map run took as a sample to make probability , it would still be irrelevant. Cheers. Last edited by Kenshiro069#0531 on Oct 10, 2014, 8:05:23 AM

I prefer +magic monsters, then +pack size. Sacrifice apex is full of blue monsters and a lot of maps drop here.

" Problem is we don't know the base chance drop map of a map , same for the APEX. Maybe Apex base map drop is higher than the base of "normal map" and that s would be why APEX magic mob tend to drop more. Last edited by Kenshiro069#0531 on Oct 10, 2014, 8:36:15 AM
