[2.2] Player159632's Top Tier MF Builds.

NOTE! Blade of Doom & The Culler's way are NOT updated for 2.3.

Spoiler

This build utilizes the #1 CoC dagger,
created by AXN1314
Mirror service for his #1 Weaponry and Equipment can be found here:

Goal of the build:
- Maximizing IIR+IIQ+Clear speed.
- To work well for party play even though its primarily a solo build..

Pros:
- Versatile generic CoC build.
- Amazing damage potential, especially with the "Chimeric Scalpel, poingard".
- Strong auras and good survivability because of the 3.5% leech.
- Posibility to gain massive MF-stats.

Cons:
- Can't do mods: Blood magi & Curse immunity.
- Could be abit pricy.
- Not beginner friendly, requires game knowledge.

Leveling
Leveling this character is a piece of cake as it is a very generic CoC build. A couple of dagger crit nodes is enough to get it going. Ideally i prefer selfcast bladefall until you can rely enough on your cast on crit to proc. proc chance is based off dagger, tree and links.

I prefer leveling this character as a hybrid/life based and later respec into low-life.

Jewels

The jewels for this build are wildcards, if you need to cap your resistances, use jewels to do so. Otherwise you might want to have damage, atributes, ES or whatever you feel like you lack in the build. The only highly recommanded jewel i suggest you using is the "Energy from within" jewel preferably corrupted with "Cannot be silenced". However any will do.

Flasks

Reasoning to this flask setup:

Taste of Hate: Flat physical damage negation + massive damage boost towards physical damage.

Quartz of Staunching: No particular reason why i use quartz, but i feel that it actually is a useful flask. Also because the flask is not as useful as some others it has alot of uptime, so that i always have a bleed remove available.

Surgeons Quicksilver of Adrinaline: BiS Movement speed flask because of legacy surgeons mod. Allows for quick flask regeneration.

Rumi's Concoction: 3000 armour + absolutely insane block potential. This will help you tank atziri a fair bit better.

Surgeons Topaz flask of Heat: This flask covers 2 dangerous status ailments, one being freeze and second being shock. It does not remove shock however it saves you from potentially getting shocked.

Ascendacy classes
For ascendancy classes i have chosen:
- Assassin (Shadow)
- Berserker (Marauder)

It did not take long for me to realize that a berserked assassin was an amazing combo. The flat crit obtained from taking the assassin class + increased critical strikes is enough to gain 95% crit chance. Even though i am not using crit based gear.

What berserker has to offer is absolutely amazing, 1.5% global leech + Warlords mark gives us a total of 3.5% global damage leech. The extra damage we take from berserker is not that much and thus why i choose berseker.

Spoiler

Goal of the build:
- To utilize efficiency by surviving hard-modded maps.
- To remain solo-viable yet party-based.
- To Gain as much MF-stats while remaining super-tank.

Pros:
- Versatile generic spellcaster. (can use any spell and make it work)
- Is more or less immortal with the correct mindset.
- Grants great survivability auras to nearby allies.
- Posibility to gain massive MF-stats.
- Massive damage potential.
- Frontline tank potential.

Cons:
- Slightly less rarity because the build is a utility tank, and thus requires a high ES-shield.
- Requires either a Shavronne's Wrappings OR a high ES-shield. To reach a viable ES-pool.
- Cannot do "blood magic" modded maps. (unless you turn off some auras)
- Totem build. (can be boring for some people)
- Not beginner friendly, requires game knowledge.

Leveling
Leveling this character might be abit hard because it is mainly a tank that scales damage through gem-level. The build utilizes some major keystones such as "Pain Attunement" and "Elemntal Overload" to boost that damage.

To bypass the hard leveling of this character, I prefer one of the two methods to reach 90+.

1:
Level as any generic spellcaster and later respec a part of the tree to turn your character into low-life. Make sure you have enough ES on your gear so that you don't hit a brick wall once you go low-life.

2:
Use a full tree-respec (usually granted after major PoE updates) and spec directly into the full 90+ tree build. Again, you got to make sure that you gear has enough ES.

Jewels

Reasoning to this flask setup:

Divination distillate & Blood of the Karui:
Since enduring cry is linked to blood magic i lose some life upon casting it, that leaves me at not-full life and can therefore consume one dose of Divination Distillate. To cancel the regeneration gotte from the flask i use Blood of the Karui to maximize the time Divination Distillate effects for.

Quartz flask:
I generally hate getting movement blocked and choose to have my bleed imunity on flask i hardly use so that i maximize its uptime.

Quicksilver:
Movement speed.

Rumi's Concoction:
Because of the flask nodes above with this flask caps our block chance (75%) and grants us 35% Spell block.

Ascendacy classes
For ascendancy classes i have chosen:
- Chieftain (Marauder)
- Hierophant (Templar)

Many of the ascendancy classes are viable for this build, so don't feel pushed to get the ones i have. Berserker works also completely fine aswel as pathfinder. Again, this depends what spell you use and what kind of mindset you want to play with.

Special thanks to v_Lusky for the build design and letting me post a build guide for this! :)

Goal of the build:
- Maximizing IIR+IIQ+Clear speed.

Pros:
- Versatile generic CoC Discharge build.
- Amazing damage potential, especially with the "Chimeric Scalpel, poingard".
- Great survivability, stun-locks ennemies more or less, great movement speed.
- Posibility to gain massive MF-stats.

Cons:

- Could be abit pricy.
- Not beginner friendly, requires game knowledge.

Ascendacy classes
For ascendancy classes i have chosen:
- Assassin (Shadow)
- Pathfinder (Ranger)

This build is very fast paced, therefore i choose to go pathfinder and "piano" flasks. With the increased charges gained you have almost 100% uptime on flasks, and therefore you can spam the hell out of them.

If i put arc together with a spell totem, it will still have the culling strike??
Yes it would work, however you will lose all your life leech. Which ruins alot of the survivability

Why don't you have PA?
Scion looks inefficient for this build (wasting 1 mana regen + having to pick 3 bad cast speed nodes), I suggest adding witch version too.
Yeah, you're right. This build used to be an arc + rf Auramancer until they updated the tree. I was left with a level 85 scion and made this. But yeah you're totally right about losing 3% cast speed and having a useless node at the start of Scion.

I've started this from the witch tree and is pretty solid. Running with a 5L Solaris Lorica and still managing to get 5.2k ES which im pretty happy about.
