Opening inventory shrinks screen

Not sure where this should go, but I have a question for you guys about opening your inventory (or character screen). When I'm running around in game and open my inventory, it shrinks my screen which really throws me off, because now all of a sudden my mouse is pointed at a very different part of the screen. In other similar games I've played (Diablo, torchlight, etc) opening inventory just overlays the screen. Is there a way to do the same thing in POE? I didn't see anything like that in the options, so maybe there's another way of doing this that I missed?

I know what you are referring to and to my knowledge I don't think it can be adjusted. It brings up your inventory and the screen part where you can still see your character on compensates to keep it still centered around your character. Or something like that...

Press C + I simultaneously (or macro it; should be allowed I guess), that'll keep your mouse at the same position.

I guess that would work, although not ideal. To be honest I'm not even sure how to create or use macros in the game, so I would have to look into that as well.

it's quite simple to do with the AHK, a few google searches will show you how to setup a script, or else you can more or less just copy someone else script and replace the hotkey with what you prefer.
