Big thanks go to Carl and Rory
|
After watching the State of Exile Podcast: Episode 15 part 2 I think we should give Carl and Rory a big thank you for taking time out of their busy Monday morning schedule to come into the Exile Podcast and answer questions. As players it is all too easy to bash GGG (God knows I've made a few rage posts) for all the flaws in PoE and we quite often forget that the devs are humans with their own lives and emotions. All players hate to have their hard built exiles die and can be too quick to rage post why the character death occurred and all (excluding desync which will always be a major playing frustration). I want to give my personal 2 thumbs up and a huge thank you for the hour that Carl and Rory spent in the podcast. Well done and keep up the great work.
Edit: I've never played any other arpg where the game devs were/are as accessible as the GGG developers. Edit 2: Oh yes, thanks all around goes to ZenocideGenius, ZiggyD, and Pohx for the great podcasts. I really do hope that they can get 2 GGG devs to come on the State of Exile Podcast every 5 episodes. "You've got to grind, grind, grind at that grindstone..." Necessity may be the mother of invention, but poor QoP in PoE is the father of frustration. One thing I love about GGG is their phenomenal response time. You ask a question to support or anyone else, they'll respond very quickly. Normally you expect the "we'll get back to you within 24 hours" routine, but I was amazed when I got a response within three minutes after sending them an email.

So sad that this thread will likely swiftly be buried under a pile of 1.2.3 economy QQ threads. GGG staff and Devs all work hard to provide US with an entertaining game, and ask nothing in return. What they often get, well... It's a shame, really. ='[.]'=

Yes! Thank you Carl and Rory! It was great seeing and hearing both of you. Carl seems like one of GGG's Templars, if you will, and I love Rory's obvious passion for PoE. I would love to hear more in the future.
Also, thank you Zenocide for hosting. Well, done! Pohx was nearly a wasted slot, imo. But w/e. And Ziggy did a lil too much ass kissing but definitely contributed to the discussion. Overall, my favorite podcast so far. Keep 'em coming! (Please :P) TY to those who called me out on my BS on these forums. There is no benefit to being so selfish as to fail to acknowledge others' differing beliefs of what "should be" or believe your own opinions so supreme as to be factual and thus dismiss others' opinions as being somehow a lie or delusional.

I have to be that guy in this case:
The questions and GGG answers in that podcast were totally boring. Missed opportunity imo. Last edited by Sa_Re#3411 on Oct 2, 2014, 4:45:27 AM

" This. I especially didn't like the casters' questions, seemed like a circle jerk. |

This state of exile episode did not discuss the third party trading websites that people have to use instead of having ALREADY an official one provided by GGG . Pretty much a waste of time , the other episodes that included discussions and opinions from actuall players were way more informative .
Also Neon wasn't there . Last edited by skaterboy80#3665 on Oct 2, 2014, 5:37:12 AM
