Vaal Pyramid Mystery

So, Did anyone else notice that the description of the Vaal pyramid given to you by the kind young scion at the forest encampment, and the actual interior structure of the pyramid, and how the layers stack smaller would both suggest a square pyramid structure...

but then when you come out of the top of the pyramid, it's a triangular pyramid?

's some X-files shit, right here, we need to get to the bottom of this!

But the inside of a pyramid Is not necessary reflecting the outside. you could have sphere chambers and still a pyramidal design outside.

A pyramid is a structure where all sides converge to a single point at the top. The structure has to at least have three sides and can have as many as feasibly possible. So, The Vaal pyramid has four sides, much like many Egyptian pyramids, all converging at a single point at the top.
EDIT: Misread. Scratch this nonsense.

I get the impression it's more of an Aztec type of pyramid... which had a totally different structure and purpose.
It's a model that appeared in Apex of Sacrifice and Alluring Abyss map
It might not be square, but it is four sided.

What I'm saying is:

This is what the inside and the description (She says it's a four sided building that tapers to a point) implies it should be.

And this is what it is when you come out of the top of it.

It's entirely possible for the SQUARE pyramid to have a TRIANGULAR pyramid cap for some reason, but it's really awkward.

Mayan and aztec pyramids were stepped square pyramids, so that's completely moot.
Probably just a mistake on GGG's part.
