Can someone offer some advice on optimal gems for auras/cwdt setups etc? I have my main attack gem (chest) and movement gem (wpn) setups dialed in but need to figure out what will be best for the rest of them. There are so many options I have a hard time knowing what to choose. So far I have a cwdt>ice golem>immortal call>cold snap in my boots and in my shield blood magic>clarity>assn mark. In my helm I have vaal hast>vaal discipline>vaal skeletons/righteous fire>discipline. As I'm playing inquisitor I tried to use wrath and HoT but don't have enough mana or life pool with the discipline and clarity which I have found to be absolutely necessary for me. Any thoughts?

Edit: Glove slot is empty as I'm unsure what I want to use there so those slots are for sure up for grabs. Right now I have a maligaro's in rrrg, but I have heard these may not be the best gloves to use anymore?

Is Voidbringer a good pick even for those that aren't CI? (Using hybrid tree for scion)

My HP is 1.5k and ES is 2k with disciple. I plan on switch to CI soon.

The main problem is your ES is just way too low, you should ditch that shield for an ES shield, frame is not really needed if your running purity of lightning and a topaz. Replace the maligaro's as well, they just are not that good for the build, you need the survivability more than the dps.

Get more ES.

You can get around 300more with a good shield, like 200 more by getting voidbringers.
100 more on Circlet is also easy possible. Like 50 more on boots is possible too.

We talk about 650 more Energyshield, which should be like 3k more after getting the nodes behind CI.
(I posted my gear on last page, I have like 5k ES without merciless lab, will go up to 6.2k)

Furthermore skip warth and HoT. EE with a cold damage mod anywhere on gear will give you more DPS.

got a scold's bridle from cadiro and didnt manage to sell it. so i used it to build this fakener with ci trickster since all negative points are negated. due to rather low es on the bridle, i needed to change facebreaker to a voidbringer. just wondering, how these changes will be compared to facebreaker? does that +100 increased spell damage and 150% more spell crit make up for the 90% crit multiplier?

How much more damage is there on a 6L vs a 5L? I have around 11-12ex or so, so I can buy a 6L Voll's. It would use up almost all my currency though, probably even more once I work on coloring it.

Would it be better to just buy a 5L Voll's, and use that currency to get a better weapon/other gear? Or is the 6L way more important?

What I did was buy fusing with my exalt until I had 1100-1200 (in talisman it was cheaper than standard) and used them on a voll's I dropped. It took about 500 for the 6 link and I still have all the rest of those fusings in the "bank". Much cheaper in the long run than buying a 6L but I relied on RNG, that's why I overbought on the fusing.

I guess I could just use a 5L for now then, and just have another Voll's that I can keep trying to 6L. 5L Voll's are going pretty cheap right now, and I'm going Scion and cutting Life Leech, so I should still have really good damage. Use the exalts I have to gear up, and use whatever is leftover for fuses.
