And for those ppl that whisper me telling me that my dagger is BRICKED, pls...Cold damage to spells is way better than to attack, ur blade vortex got twice the AoE than cyc and hits a lot of more.

When is the best time to take CI?

I'm trying so hard leveling this char with this build, i have around over 50% crit but the discharge happens so seldom. I can twirl around for seconds until something happens, and usually i'm well dead by then. the rate of discharges is going by crit or attackspeed? I know my defence is paperthin but as long as i get a few discharges out i manage.
Now i hit a wall unfortunately by dying so often i can't even level :/

Well the gist of this is, how can up my rate of discharge?

1. Diamond rings
2. quality ur Cast on Crit gem
3. Use Blasphemy + assasin mark curse
4. Use increasaed crit chance gem isntead life leech, for lvling u can do well with ur health potions.
5. Critical chance amulet / talisman, there are 50%+ crit chance cheap talisman on poetrade.
6. Get a Vagan's Royal Skean or Poignard (this are best base, people usually think that kris is better because its 80% global crit, they'are wrong, 1.2 aspeed really hurts ur cyc attack rate, less attacks = less chance to coc. I've sold several "Bricked" vagans skeans and poignard to ppl that were using Kris, they cant stop thanking me.)

Which crit chance are you talking about? Are you clicking the cyclone skill and looking at the tooltip for cyclone and see 50%? coz I have around 44% and doing just fine with the proc, do get a bit dangerous at times but whirling blade is amazing plus vaal discipline save me if i really need it.

Also you need a Vagan dagger or else it's probably not your crit rate but your missing on your cyclone too much.

Also don't lvl with this build coz its horrible consider the gear you need to get it work well XD I level with combo of storm call, fire storm, and freeze pulse (coz why not even if it pretty painful) and didn't switch to this build until I had enough ES to kinda life off of the life leech with ghost reaver and vaal pact. And don't even try it without 5L coz if you don't have the life leech in there your going to die a lot ;c

I switch in around like 62 ish once I was able to wear most of my high ES gear. Switch to CI (if you chose to) around 70 when i hit like 5k ES with discipline.

Do you have a separate Blade Vortex gem that you self cast prior to major engagements? I find it helpful to have a few vortex casts up in advance.

As for survival, try to up your chaos resist and definitely get Vaal Pact. How many +powercharge nodes do you have?

Right now I have sacrificed both my helmet and amulet to get chaos resist on both. This means I lost a lot of crit but 50%+ Chaos resist on Merciless is very handy.

This is the reason why I went with CI instead because trying to get all the resistance I need and the str/dex I need along with all the crit to not die once I switch to the build o.-

Edit: Also last piece I really need is maligaro right now have a face breaker for the crit mod (giving up like 600 es so idk if its even worth it lol) and whats funny is like I went on to standard league and guess what there is a maligaro in storage lol. Now need to re-farm on talisman for other one =X

And I'm kinda struggling with ranged melee, like in the libray map the unique boss is like one of those thing that shoot tons of spikes and like kills me before i get to it.

The onlyy reason I didn't convert to CI for this build is because I only play this build for its hybrid defences.
I already play the Dy'Ness Tank elsewhere, and I didn't want to split my ES gear between two characters. I am trying Fakener purely to make use of all the ES/Armour gear I got in storage that I haven't touched.

I had a Tornado Shot character before 2.0, but it is gone now that evasion sucked. And I use a pure life build for Flametotem magic find. This left ES/Armour that was unused and I wanted Fakener to take up tat role. So when ever I find a good drop I would know at least one of my character could use it.

i'll try to get a decent vagandagger but the prices are not in my favour =)
guess i'll farm with my alt until he sells me one.
i have 70% hitchance wich i though would be enough until i found one but who knows?

Has anyone tried using the Warlord's Reach jewel for more Cyclone weapon range? It would increase the range with daggers from 7 to 8 which is nearly 15% more AoE.
