More utility active skills? / Shield bash

I love playing utility builds like tanks and cullers in parties but I feel like when you go for those min/max type builds there isn't actually a lot you can do aside from being a buff/curse bitch.

This is where the game needs more skills like coldsnap. Skills that utilize charges or have long cooldowns ( to prevent them being used by every class ever (cwdt + molten shell) ) and have high utility.

As a hypothetical utility skill:

Shield bash - Expends all endurance charges stunning all enemies in front of you for .1 seconds ( + .05 seconds per charge expended ) ( increases stun duration with level )
- Deals little damage
- Slow casting animation + long cooldown
- Requires a shield.
- High strength requirement?

Also more shield skills in general would be nice c:

Shields do no damage. We had this suggestion before. Charge works because it rushes the monster with the shield pushing mobs out of the way and hitting with the weapon.

The point wasn't that it does damage, but that it provided stun utility for a tank role. For example if a mob jumps on one of your squishier caster friends you could stun it just long enough for them to reposition ( At the cost of dropping all your end charges ).

that doesn't really make sense if i have a shield and i bash it against you (called the shield bash move) it will hurt not as much as a sword or something but .... specially if its a spiked shield

I also think it's silly that shield charge uses the weapon. This way, an unarmed build cannot use it at all. Not even for movement or stun/interrupt. And that at least would make sense: A good bash with a shield should always interrupt attacks/casts and have a small chance to stun. Any damage it does can still be linked to the weapon to avoid whole new dmg calculation coding.

Well, it works the way it does because, guess what, this game isnt Diablo 2, there is no Shield damage. There is only weapon damage and spell damage to scale the damage of off.

Now, a pure stun attack with no damage could make sense as far as i know damage doesnt really play a role in stun only life of the stunned unit does. So, that might actually work.
