Middle mouse button not usable on many mice.

I don't think it is in the best interest of the game to have new users fiddle with drivers to just be able to use the features in the game. Making it an option is a lot easier if they want new players to stay.

How does messing with mouse drivers have anything to do with Path of Exile? I'm seriously lost here...

Being able to reassign the middle mouse button to the keyboard would be a great addition.

Two :Thumbs Up:

Even if you have a scroll wheel, it's pretty terrible when trying to use it as a button :/

Its not, just You have to used to it :)

That's possible. Maybe my scroll button is also harder to press than most mice. Takes a lot of effort to click it.

well i never use my scroll wheel/ middle mouse button, most of the times i press it, it doesnt react, so i would also like to be able to reassign it to another.

If you're using a Razer mouse, surely updating your drivers to set one of your 7 buttons to act as a middle mouse button should be a doddle.

By any chance, does your mouse support multiple profiles?

/edit

Being able to remap the button would be ideal.

I don't disagree, but mouse 3 has been a standard button on mice for years.

Sure, it isn't ideal to click the scroll wheel down (I personally always change bindings to thumb buttons because I hate mouse 3), but it is a default bind, and is trivial to fix if you're using something like a Razer mouse.

Having to do things like fiddle with drivers is just part of PC gaming, and it's ridiculous to try and hold an abnormality in the way your mouse manufacturer implements their buttons against Grinding Gears.

It's an industry wide standard that Mouse 3 is triggered by pressing in the scroll wheel.

I completely understand. But in other games I have no problem changing it from within the game. I would like that functionality here as well, instead of having to set up a new profile on my mouse which I then have to activate every time I play PoE. I just don't see how catering to the customers and making the game easier to use is a bad thing?

Currently it is not possible to change mouse bindings in PoE, so you have to change the driver setup for your mouse if you want to reassign mousekeys.
