Intel HD 4400 Graphical Bugs/Crashes

- I did the PackCheck and it didn't detect any problems
- The problems still exist after the chkdsk, although it SEEMS they happen less frequently.

It looks like you are having a hardware/driver issue, and you already have the latest intel driver. Are you comfortable with uninstalling or installing your RAM modules?

- What do you mean by uninstalling/installing? Open the case, remove the ram and insert it again?

A MemTest86+ run wouldn't be unreasonable either.

Re-installing the RAM modules might help, but if a RAM chip is bad for some reason, a proper long MemTest86+ run would detect that as well and let you know.

Depends on if you want to catch issues or not, and which test you run.

Some tests can go for days... other tests are only a few minutes or an hour (depending).

For maximum detection, I'd recommend a longer test to thoroughly check everything.
If you are comfortable with opening the case and doing that with your RAM, a quick thing to test would be to only have one 4GB RAM module installed at a time.
Tried playing for a few hours with only one module at a time, but the missing textures/flickering textures continue and the very very occasional image freeze (sound continues as normal). I have put the 2 ram slots back and kept playing to try and force a crash or something, but it doesn't seem to happen.
I guess the best next step is to try cooling it better. Do you have a big fan to aim at the RAM while your case is open?

Or you might instead be able to get into the BIOS/UEFI and underclock the memory temporarily, but that requires some skill and can be dangerous to the computer if you don't know what you're doing.
