Most Efficient Way to Roll High Maps Solo Play

If you give advice based on the assumption that people buy maps, you need to include that, or it is a bit misleading. I haven't bought a single map, for example, and if I had not alched before 74, I'd probably have no 74 maps at all.

Of course you can trivialize everything by trading, and mapping is no exception, but some of us prefer just playing the game. Trading is always the most efficient way to get anything in PoE.

Yes, you nailed it. But I read the title and answered that question.

Alch and go is the best (except temp chains)
chundadragon is a monster. wears sick gear, plays a lot and buys his maps.

where many are concerned with maintaining 72+ hes worried about maintaining his
76's.

time is indeed money. so if your going for a constant upward rampage
then buy a swarm of maps and run them shits asaply. don't even type /remaining
just remake when YOUR done.

assuming you don't want to buy maps tho, gotta roll them earlier and harder.

I started to play from 66 maps. If I had alchs I alched them. If no, made them magic. When I got to 68 pool I started to alch all of 68+. Since then I alched every map and most of them was running with my summoner, not for xp but just to get more maps, any rolls any difficulty, no matter how many times I die in the map. I built my map pool that way and now I have many maps, just ran all of my 76 maps and have

I recently got to a 76-78 pool, but I have a lot of 72, many 73 and 74 maps to make my 76-78 bigger. I chisel high maps if I have chisels, bought some one day, but I have to buy alchemy very often, so I trade my currency I found for chaoses to buy alchemy, Im not a trader and play solo all the way.

alt and regal
I found myself able to solo sustain my 77 and 78s by rolling around 130 iiq on every single 77/78 map that I solo.
The real hardcore PoE players and the elites sit in town and zoning in and out of their hideouts trading items. Noobs that don't know how to play PoE correctly, kill monsters for items. It's pure fact, it will never change.

Welcome to PoE.
77/78 maps 40%+packsize and 60%+quantity.Either chisel,transmute,alt/aug,regal(safer maps, more suitable for HC leaugues) or chisel, alch and chaos. Also use sacrifice fragments for extra quantity.Beyond and ambush mods from Zana are really nice if you can afford it.And yeah, almost forgot, what is most important, pray to RNGesus every night before sleep.

I did an experiment for a while of running only white maps .... the outcome was the same as blue or alched maps on average. I was getting map drops anyway, so I think the map system is really inconsistent .... test it yourself and you will see, run like 10 lvl73 maps on a row without rolling them.

When you get a decent pool size, you can forget about rolling. Your map pool will survive on sheer RNG variance. (120% Shrine with max roll magic pack drops nothing, some random blue 20% drops 5+ maps...)

At this stage quantity becomes almost irrelevant, as the system is designed to give you vastly different outcomes. So there is no point in doing difficult & slow 100+Q maps for 20 mins, if you can run 3 easy ones in the meantime.

I'm done with rolling maps. I've found that difficulty mods barely do a damn thing. ... But no point trying to get a high percentage, its too damn random.

Go for inhabitation mod (magic > pack > rares > exiles) with some decent Q, 50 - 80. 100+Q maps sound amazing, but they are not, just a PITA.

I can echo these sentiments. I've had better luck with some random 30% Q maps than some exhausting 140+ Q that take 30 mins to clear, plus I can run them faster. Burning 10c on a map that drops nothing is a waste IMHO. I maintain a pool fine solo, and it is growing, albeit slowly. As mentioned above; I go for habitation mods too, mostly. To clarify, I do roll maps with trans/alts/alchs/chaos and chisel, but I try to do so in a limited way so my currency reserve doesn't burn out. If a higher map fails to deliver, I drop back and run lower maps for awhile.

There was a period where I was running low on lower maps; I simply bought 3-4 of Zana's maps a day, and ran them unid. They're expensive and I wouldn't recommend doing this regularily, but it helped bolstering my pool of lower maps. All in all most of those map ended up having 50+ Q when blue and 70+ when rare, and most of them dropped 2-4 new maps.

I Alt all maps from 70 to 73, and chisel+alt 74's and higher.
Only easy to run maps I will occasionally alch, but I mostly dont bother.

Map pool is ok, nothing great, but then again, I am not afraid to run a few 71's just for shits and giggles.
Don't Touch my Sweep please GGG!
