Mouse Keybinds Suggestion
By default, the game sets your three basic mouse buttons (left, right, and middle) to three ability slots. However, unlike the other ability slots, the game does not give you the option to customize/change the mouse ability slots.
I'm currently using a Razor Naga Hex mouse (has 5 buttons on the side). I was planning on setting my middle mouse button ability slot to Num2 (the buttons on the mouse replace the numpad buttons). It just feels better for me to use one of the side buttons on the mouse instead of the mandatory middle mouse button because I have to take a finger off of one of the other mouse buttons to press it. I know it might not be the devs top priority to add more keybinding customization, especially in a beta, but it'd be a great convenience for players like myself who prefer using a different keybind than middle mouse button whatever the case may be. Thanks and keep up the great work with the game! :D This thread has been automatically archived. Replies are disabled.

you can already do that by the Customisation on the mouse, u can link it to a fuctionality, eg. your POE Shortcut when you start the game to say that when you click that your moues buttons change to Q,W,E,R,T etc. but yea they should add a controls customisation more advanced than it is now.

" ^ This is correct for mice such as the Naga because of its UI. As for, the actual game supporting it, copied from the sticky post about frequent suggestions: 26. Add more options for keybindings aside from letters and numbers on the keyboard. I want to remap my Middle Mouse button. Eventually it seems any key or mouse but will be usable, but we're not there yet. http://www.pathofexile.com/forum/view-thread/8 Here's one post about that from Chris: Spoiler " Chris wrote: We will support advanced mouse button binding! He has also spoken with me privately on a few occasions, and this came up there as well, so it is for sure a planned feature. |
