Intended useless unique items (Forbidden Taste)?

Hi,

i found this
which seems to be useless. A life flask with instant recovery does the same effect without the own damaging with chaos damage. (This unique is like a suicide flask)

Is it intended, or do I misunderstand somehow an aspect of it?

It was actually used a lot last league by many top players. Unfortunately(or fortunately?..) flasks got an insane buff that has rendered it pretty meaningless.

i dont either understand why there is so many legends wich peoples wont ever you like EVER no1 is going to use them its like in diablo 3... 80% legends are useles

I used forbidden taste on my marauder during ambush but there is really no need with the new flasks.

Just got this from a drop as a first unique flask drop... Then i saw it goes for 1 alch.

These are handy as skins for certain flasks. You could for example skin your removes bleed flask with it so you know which one it is.

It's only used for skin transfer.

Its used for a chaos immunity build. How come no one gets this? Its a panic flask, freedom of movement + immediate (?) half life for a quick escape, imagine the drawback gone with CI.

Except it only heals life and not energy shield.
