Do you/have you watched anime?

Just wondering if anyone here watches/have seen anime. Since I'm aware that this is a fairly small niche even in America, I'm inviting anyone who's seen any anime or read any manga to tell of their experiences. It doesn't matter if you've only seen the 90's classics or a few anime or if you're like me who keeps up to date with each season. Anything to keep this thread on the front page.

EDIT: Now that this thread has got some traffic, I do believe I can reveal to all the ignorant masses that shonen shit is still shit. Naruto Shippuden, Bleach, Fairy Tail, Beelzebub, Ao no Exorcist etc are all bad. But people DO enjoy Family Guy and Two and a Half Men, so to each their own I digress.
huh, what why are you reading hthis?

It's a small niche, but common among hyper nerds. Which is basically the staple MMO demographic :)

I've kept semi-current but got a bit burnt out in spring. Nichijou was the only series I finished that season.
Fate/Zero and Bakuman's second series are the two I'm committed to this season.

Guilty Crown and Kyoukai Senjou no Horizon both look interesting, but I haven't watched either yet.
Well, the small niche continues down here in South Africa. Yip, mention you watch anime, and they instantly class you negatively.

Anyway, series' I have seen and enjoyed:
Mecha:
Gundam 00- Very good entry level Gundam
Gundam Wing- Very good too, but would suggest for more novice gundam viewers
Gundam SEED- Even as a fan of it, I feel this series moves too slowly. Watch it, but be prepared to wait.
Tengunn Toppa Gurren Lagann: Amazing series. Would recommend
Neon Genesis Evangelion: Do you like your mind? If not, watch this one. Comes very highly recommended.
Neon Genesis Evangelion Rebuilds: Wow... Just when you thought it couldn't get any better/worse

High school:
Azumanga Diaoh: A group of school girls have to survive high school. Funniest thing I have ever seen
Orun Host High School: A group of guys with too much money and free time have set up a host club for girls with too much money and free time in a school for kids with too much money and free time. Highly Recommended

Action:
Elfen Lied: Do you like blood? Do you like dismemberment? If not, don't watch. Interesting concept though. Won't say too much.
Abyssal Chronicles: Tales of the Abyss: Very good final fantasy styled anime. Although I couldn't finish it, it does come highly recommended

Other:
Death Note: A highschool kid called Light discovers a notebook, wherein if you write a name of someone, they will die. Very highly recommended.

I have a lot more series' I can recommend if these aren't enough or to your liking, or if anyone else requests
i have only started watching them .. fell in love with The Last Airbender and i have been exploring others since then im onto Fullmetal Alchemist right now ..which is amazing ! i always like that sort of art work and way of telling a story but i never got into them when i was younger but its a different story now :D
If you enjoy comedy I recommend Seito no Hanayome, it often paraodies other animes and video games, such as Snake from Metal Gear.
Watching something called Blue Exorcist, really interested in dark and demonic anime.
When I was younger I watched the Silver Fang series and I remember I enjoyed it immensely, but modern anime just isn't my cup of tea.

I had a friend that got me into S-cry-ed but I never got a chance to finish the season. It was quite good action wise but it didn't last long as a series.
Was totally not into anime (series or the artsyle) for all my life until a combo of recent illness this summer/free time and Netflix changed that somewhat. :)

I'm not into the ... mech war machine? ... type stuff. Y'know, giant robots or giant robot suits...or a lot of the ultra-violent anime, but I do like series with a good dose of humor/adventure or "human interest" storylines, and occasionally some of the darker toned series.

Examples of ones I've enjoyed a lot:

---Slayers (all seasons, tho imo Season2 was the best)
---Hikaru No Go (watched all 70+ in a marathon of no-sleep watching, who knew a series about Go could be so compelling)
---Samurai Champloo
---Fruits Basket
---Mushi-Shi (loved the lyrical feeling of the stories)
---Chrome Shelled Regios (not my fave but entertaining)
---Dark Butler (1st season was pretty cool)
---Darker Than Black (I liked the cat....main chr. was cool too)
---Death Note (interesting but a little on the slow side/lacking humor for me)

...and I love the film Howl's Moving Castle. :)

I've watched a few episodes from quite a few other series Netflix currently has available but didn't finish/complete watching them. Sometimes because I wasn't interested but also I think because I burned out on watching anime for the year. lol
My favorite off all anime is Slam Dunk and Hajime no ippo.
love watching sport anime for some reason :)
