Auras - Determination (armour) vs Discipline (energy shield)
If I were to choose one, which one should I choose on my tank templar? I have passives that boost armour, and some that boost energy shield. I haven't focused on any one of the two.

you need to think to a build before spending points.. exemple .. life dual totem ... ES summoner or so ... so you wont waste points adding energy shield for exemple if you use an armor+life build that predominate

" Are you saying that if I put points into Energy Shield and shield blocking that I shouldn't put points into life? |

Concerning Aura's...
If you got high ammounts of armour, or IR char with grace... determination will scale that further. And things like Iron Skin Granite will be even more effective. Discipline is most often used with CI characters, which is the only reason why not to take life nodes in this game. But I wouldn't recommend CI for beginners. Other is EB, which will make your mana regen greater, and on some occasion when it goes into positive reserve increase your mana buffer for MoM and such. If you are new, best aura of choice defensively is grace combined with IR, less thigns to worry about, and any char in party with Det will buff your AR value further. EDIT: Also don't invest into a stat if you're not going to use it. If you invest into Energy shield it has to serve a purpose, most builds don't work as hybrid life/ES. So unless your ES is going towards EB pool, there's no point in addin' it... Aegis Aurora builds are exception.
