The three Bandits (spoiler warning)

So in act II there is this one quest that you have multiple choices to what will happen. I was hoping for a little advice on this.

As you may be aware, you can pick to help one or none of the bandits in Act II. Different rewards for different choices. Which might be the best reward to go for? So far I know only of three of the rewards. 1 skill point for killing all three, +max hp, +8% resist all elements, and unsure of the last one.

What for a which is the best choice to go with?


Now a little background, I am going to try to not use CI. And focus more on lightning. So what choice is best to pick?

By the way, sorry if this is considered in the wrong section. Figured a witch asking other witches might be the best place for the best answer.
id say best choises are

normall: +hp(unless doing CI, then i would consider elem resists)
cruel: +cast speed
merciless: passive point/power charge, depending on build

but i said screw it i took passive point every time ;)

if you got to the harder modes, did they give scaled up rewards or no?
+40Hp doesn't sound like much to me, but I dunno. I thought the resistance or skill point would be better.

Kraityn: Reward for siding with him is
NORMAL: permanent increase of +8 to all elemental resistances (elemental resistance does not include chaos).
CRUEL: permanent increase of +4% Attack Speed.
MERCILESS: permanent +1 Maximum Frenzy Charge.

Alira: Reward for siding with her is
NORMAL: permanent increase of 40 Mana.
CRUEL: permanent increase of +4% Cast Speed.
MERCILESS: permanent +1 Maximum Power Charge.

Oak: Reward for siding with him is
NORMAL: permanent increase of 40 Life.
CRUEL: permanent increase of 12% to Physical Damage.
MERCILESS: permanent +1 Maximum Endurance Charge.


remember that +40 hp scales with all your +% hp nodes in skilldrassil
Then it sounds like it is Hp then skill points in my mind XD Thank you for that
consider the casting speed tho its really good UNLESS your build needs that one point more
