BSOD- is Poe the Cause Or Nay?

Ok so , i am wondering , if POE is the cause of my computer crashing i have read many posts about bsod ... , and my problem.. happened about an hour after playing POE .. is it possible for poe to be the cause? ....

my computer .. was fine as far as fps .. no lag at all , it was not hot at all(while playing)

.. it seems my problem is different as.. the bsod did not occur while playing .. when i finally got the computer to restart ... windows 8 would not .. respond.. i could log into my account .. but it was just a black screen and a cursor .. i could not access anything accept windows task manager

--- the only reason i related this to poe .. is because its the last thing i installed and last thing i had been doing on computer before the crash

the computer does pass the minimum requirements , and from what i read with other issues with bsod it was not the sound card or the other problems i have read on forum ( unless i managed to miss them ) I have not had any issues with other games as well

i did manage to get computer running again(i lost alot of programs.. but was able to keep files) , and.. i am unable to decide wether it was just a random bsod cause by some other issue .. or if it was cause by poe .. i would like.. to continue playing but im afraid of .. this happening again...

I play the game on my current computer now .. and .. its honestly .. a slow stupid computer(also a year older than my other ) that gets so hot at times it can almost burn to the touch , yet.. i do not have this issue...


so .. is it possible for POE to cause some type of issue and bsod an hour or more later after playing POE?

I really would like my brother to be able to play along with me , and im afraid .. of the same issue occurring again.. thanx!

Not sure if that's what you wanted ... and the error , said failed boot , watch dog something ?... sorry at the time I was so mad I didn't think to take a picture and blue screen stopped appearing , after 2 boots.. that's when the windows login black screen thing happened..

Post all the Dxdiag and you need to wait antil the next bsod to see the error. If blue scree is not apearing again then windows restored previous PC state, roling back previously installed programs and removed the program which caused BSOD.

Ok .. i can post the entire thing .. but i thought it was rather large to post haha .. so .. i hesitated.. and posted what looked to be important to me haha, i am not familiar with this kinda stuff when it comes to computers.. it looks like bunch of randomness to me ----


Ok .. even tho i did .. install path of exile .. on the other computer again .. i didnt try playing it again .. didnt want the same issue to happen.. and make the problem worse



.. also .. it wont let me post the entire log .. says to many characters is there a specific section i can post .. that will help? ..i will try playing again .. but before i do .. could it.. make things worse? ... because i did have to .. refresh my computer.. i lost all installed programs ,games ect that i previously had...

Use spoiler or some text services like pastebin. But if it will not occur again during you play POE then something is wrong with other programs or your PC.

BSOD cant delete programs that you installed, it can only delete them if you installed them during the time your PC had BSOD and didnt turn your PC off to save the installed programs.
Windows could roleback to previouse state which could be week or month before now, and you could lost any programs you installed during this period of time.
Or it can be related to your hard drive problems or virus, try to perform disk cheks, virus scans.
I cant say anything without seeing the BSOD error.

The only real cause of BSOD's is hardware...the only one attributed to PoE was the soundcard one but that's more to do with old soundcards that had seriously old drivers or the company that made the card stopped support.

If you post the full dxdiag in spoilers it will help locate any possible driver problems.

The reason I lost my programs was because , after the first blue screen , I was able to get into windows fine then it just occurred again within a few minute of logging into windows.... I then restarted computer .. that is when .. it was just black.. the lock screen had black backround which was not normal then I was able to put password in and log into the user account , . from there.. it was just a black screen and a cursor, bringing up the task manager.. everything was there that normally loads on start up.. except one thing.. windows explorer was non existent.. pressing the windows button would not bring up anything ,


the auto-repair had failed...


, I tried to do a restore .. and an error came up .... , so ... me not knowing what to do.. did a system refresh ... I was able to keep videos , music , pictures ,.. but any and all programs I had ever installed from adobe - to steam were gone ,

as for the blue screen.. I was able to search my history in google , and the most information I can give since I stupidly didn't write down the numbers it was showing ..

was " No Boot Device, dpc watchdog violation"

Dose the lap top you use have an SSD

You have errors in your windows updater. Can you update windows?
Also do you have mobile video card?
The problem is in your PC. Dxdiag shows bunch of errors regarding windows.
