Map device bug - device is busy

If any portals are left open after a map and you then switch to another character you can't put in a new map until all portals from the previous map (by the other character on the same account) has been closed.

Not sure if this only occurs for the map device in the hideout or is also true for the device in the eternal laboratory.

Same problem here. Activation failed. The device is busy. Should i also file a bug report via ingame?

More importantly is there a quick workaround for the time being until this is fixed? Or do we have to resort to the eternal lab?

No this does not occur for the map device in eternal lab.

Same here, i have had this problem a few times now.

Possible solution =

Destroy all the portals that are left.

Working solution that i tested.

Go to the character that is able to utilize the device, put in the map you wish to run and activate it.

BEFORE the portals start to open for the new map, log out.

Your map will be left in the map device and no portals will be open, you can now proceed mapping with your character.

You can also open up the maps with the char that is able to utilize the map device but this is troublesome so i prefer to log out once.

Edit : I just tested and destroying all the remaining portals seems to work. I will report if i get this bug again after clearing this new map.

If no second edit comes, it works after destroying all your portals.
