Why would you even want that many scrolls?
I don't really understand what your plan is?
Pick up whites and sell them.

Congrats Chris & others for cashing out! I don't blame you. I'll be saving money now... unless I start making a lot more. Can't wait to see if you guys start a new studio in six years! RIP GGG

the money system is retarded items are worth scrolls but only white items but you need scrolls to buy things and identify items what teh shit
Identifying every item you come across simply isn't worth it. Save ID scrolls for rares and items you actually need. Although I have had luck sometimes offering an orb of transmutation for 8 wis scrolls on public trade chat.

If you really want to you can farm wis scrolls by starting new characters, rushing hillock, and depositing the 3 wisdoms you start out with into your stash.

Still seems like an immense waste of time.

When I was running short in scrolls i was selling Blacksmith Wetstones( 1 Wet = 4 scrolls), or armour scraps (1=2 scrolls). You don't really need them early in the game, when you are constantly changing your armour/weapons.

This. Don't use them on blues unless you're trying to fill an obvious void and a blue item has a shot at doing so (usually because your current equipped item is so bad/underleveled).

Also, your lack of Wisdom scrolls problem is an early game problem. Once you get a character over 55 or so and once you have multiple characters cranking along, this pain goes away.

Lastly, pickup 1 slot (rings/necks) and 2 slot (belts/flasks) items as you grind to create Wisdom's at a pace that won't drive you insane with inventory management.
Church Dungeon -> Fellshrine Ruins -> Clear path back to Crossroads -> Enter Crossroads -> Waypoint to Forest Encampment -> Sell unidentified blues. Do it on normal, save any rares that pop up for the 2x Chaos Orb recipe. Only ID flasks for a chance at Surgeon's for Alchemy Shards. Alternatively if you have the Portal gem you can just run anywhere where you'd expect a lot of mobs to fill your inventory quickly and repeatedly. With Portal scrolls costing 3 Identify scrolls you'd need a route that utilizes waypoints and little backtracking, hence the suggested route.

My understanding is only currency drops are affected by overleveling content so that should work fine for amassing ID scrolls.

My understanding is that ID scrolls are currency.
