Vaal Orb ruined my best(and only good weapon)HELP

as the title says, i found a Vaal Orb it's description is "it modifies an item unpredictably"
however that wasn't the case for me it turned the unique item into rare and decreased all of it's stats even removed some, idk about you but that's no modifying that's ruining, and it wasn't stated in it's description that it could do that, so is there any way to get my weapon back? oh it also decreased the number of sockets from 6 to 4 and i'm really pissed right now. Class- Ranger

unpredictably doesnt mean only good stuff, it has bad stuff as well, and turning uniques into rares is one of the bad things that can happen...
this is part or the risks of using a vaal orb so I guess you're out of luck :/ |

" the think is before using it i looked it up and all i found was it could give you bad effects such as low fire damage or really bad life leech but i didn't see anything about fucking up your weapon T_T guess i gotta use all the stuff i been saving to get a weapon or use a normal one and get killed a thousand times xD Class- Ranger

It happens, it is unpredictable.
It says nothing about not changing socket #s or links or whatever. I have bricked a couple of uniques with Vaal Orbs. Move on, they are pixels. P.S. Yeah, I screwed up a few uniques. Mostly they just don't do anything but sometimes .... I do it when you have more than 1.

i don't know what i was thinking :/ but i though it could make it better, oh well i guess you don't learn until you try... shouldn't have had my hopes up since all games, if there is something that could make ur weapon better or worse chances are over 80% of the time you get worse.

OP, you still didn't tell us what was that weapon )
And worst change is putting almost all bosses in new version of maps into fucking small areas, where you can't kite well or dodge stuff. What a terrible idiot invented that I want say to him: dude flick you, seriously flick you very much.
