Unwavering Stance + Iron Reflexes Two handed sword Duelist
Hi guys!
After my attempt of making a crit hit dagger Shadow which was.... well, not very successful, I decided on doing a Duelist with two handed sword, using the keystones mentioned in the topic's title. I think I can handle it better this time ;) But there a question arises. How about taking armour nods that are quite nicely available for a duelist? Since I am doing Iron Reflexes, my armour should be really high, and +30% from Iron Skin nod... that is a lot. But... will the +30% apply before or after the evasion rating is changed into armour? See, it is a big question. Say I use a scale type of armour with 100 armour rating and 100 evasion. If the +30% applies befor iron reflexes, what I get is: 100 arm + 30% = 130 arm 100 ev = 100 arm Overall = 230 arm If it applies after, easy math 100 arm = 100 arm 100 ev = 100 arm Overall = 200 + 30% = 260 arm It is 30 more ;) So, how is it? Also, would you recommend to take Leather and Steel nods, or should I rather wander into ranger's area and just stick with pure evasion? That kinda touches the same question of what applies first. |

Get the 2 armor clusters if you are getting IR+US.
Get any "good" (10-10-30) evasion nodes if you just randomly happen to be in the Ranger start for no apparent reason. Backdoor the 24% L&S node if you're close to it (1 or less minor dex nodes away). Also, use pure Evade rating gear where possible. |

Thank you for the hints, yet it does not answer mine question of what applies first
But if you are telling me to ate both pure evasion armours and armour nods, then am I justified to assume that Iron Reflexes apply first, and other armour nods later? Last edited by Avenroth#4496 on Feb 4, 2013, 12:41:36 PM

All the armor% nodes work with Iron Reflexes as they come into account after it calculates ur armor with IR. Armor/Evasion nodes aren't great as the evasion part only applies once....hence why people only take one point into Leather and Steel near the start of the tree.
