Remove minion targeting

+1. Haven't had issues with this myself yet, but apparently plenty of other people have; I say go ahead.
Those who cannot remember the past, are condemned to repeat it.

Fucking annoying to party with summoners. |

Non targetable minions would be a blessing.
I would also like to put forward the suggestion I saw in an older minion targeting thread. Minion opacity slider, so you can make them see through and its easier to see monsters around them. I wish I could remember who suggested it so I could give them credit. You gotta love the ribbons. When they kill you they gift wrap you for the grim reaper. 100% agree, As a Ranger I can only play my class if I can target a enemy.
With a party of 6 and all their summons totems, It becomes really hard to hit what you need to. If I don't hit I can not regain mana. Also with added lag of partying up this problem becomes even worse. I feel so distracted when playing with summoner that I usually just leave the party. This could become a big deal against a summon build. But than again D2 had a lagro and alot of ppl did not enjoy partying with them {must be the smell} |

This "feature" is the main reason I play solo mainly. The loot system really does not bother me that much any more, as long as I have control over who's in my party and can punish players for not playing by the rules (e.g. no ninja = freaking NO NINJA) ..
At the moment I really see no point to minion/player highlighting. AoE casters are not bothered by it that much, ranged characters can just fire away with shift pressed. Melees are the ones who suffer the most (who can see a pattern here? ;) ) I hope devs will look into this. |

Will not play a summoner/necromancer until something like this is implemented. Grant us eyes.

74 summoner here.(atm) Soloed most of it because most people don't want to party with a summoner.
A lot of it is the lag that it can cause I am sure. Sometimes I zone into a friends area to help him and he will d/c trying to load all my pets. But, I believe most people just hate the targeting problem that comes from having so many minions mixed with enemies. My friends don't see a reason why they can target my minions. I don't really see a reason either. Sometimes I will mouse over them to know if I need to pop some flasks to heal my specters back up, but other than that I never have a reason to target them. As for a fix I am not too sure what would be best. Some way of easily distinguishing between minions and enemies is imo needed. Whether health bars for enemies; not being able to target minions at all; or even a special "minion icon" similar to curses over/under minions; it feels like something is needed. May the RNG be with you always.

The should broadly make targeting any friendly unit toggled off by default. This is true for corpses, the technology is there.
