"Best" Bow skill to combine with Multi Projectiles + Point Blank to shotgun?

Since Puncture's damage can't stack on itself, I'm guessing Explosive Arrow?

None of the elemental's seem that impressive on paper.

I know Split arrow can't shotgun but Explosive and the elemental arrows can right?

I mean, Freezing Pulse can and its considered a projectile.

There are no attacks in the game that can shotgun. Only spells can shotgun. Freezing Pulse is a projectile spell.

You can hit the same target twice with an explosive arrow though, if you get it up against a wall, it gets hit "twice" by the same explosion I believe.

And this bow.

Lightning Arrow is what you are looking for.

I agree we should consider a shotgun bow attack at some point or another...

Lightning Arrow with GMP can hit the same target 5 times with one shot if it's clustered with other enemies or against a wall. Add Fork, Pierce, and/or Chain and that number can jump much higher. It doesn't work against a single target in the open (without careful aiming, like firing from max range), but in that case you'd just use a different attack with single target high damage supports.

What about Ethereal Knives and Point-Blank? :)

It does stack but the point blank passive and skill gem don't so its one or the other plus chin sol for 150% more bow damage at close range
