Dark templar theorycraft
Hello everyone,
Im having real problems deciding on what to play for the 1.2 Forsaken Masters patch. By now i have played a DW Molten strike templar, DW claw dual strike, and a 1h+Shield phys duelist. When i think RP, and what i want my character to look like, i want a 1h+shield dark warrior type. Death Knight from wow, Dark templar from AOC type of characters. My molten strike build was close, but i didnt get the whole dark feel from it. I have currently played around with the idea of a cleave build with animation from shop, or even glacial hammer. Or maybe a Ice Spear tank? So to sum it all up, i wanna make the darkest most evil tank possible :) Anyone have any thoughts on this? I would really be grateful. |

Sure you can go Ancestral Spirit and use two totems to summon ragin spirits. Meanwhile your templar can use culling strike with melee splash and dominating blow, cast on melee kill summon zombie to make more minions while dropping conversation traps all over the place. You can even grab the unique chest to go triple totem.

Thats acctually a pretty cool idea.
However, im not that a great fan of summoning builds. Shouldve mentioned that in the post. Thanks anyways :) |

well sorry but necromancy is pretty much the 'dark' element available to templar unless you want to consider poison/chaos damage as "dark", in which case templar is not the right class to pick for that AT ALL unless you have like 10-15 passive points that you were actually looking forward to throwing away
ignite damage on a templar would generally be considered as divine judgement, retribution stuff. Not dark templar at all. I just don't see a dark theme without summoning |

I really cannot think of any viable dark themed templar now.
He has no chaos damage capability at all. Elemental hit works quite well on him but he has to go for resolute technique. Oh wait I have an idea! Use elemental hit and have all your equipments increase critical strikes such as maligaro's and equip added accuracy. Attain all the reduced mana reservation nodes to run anger and wrath. Then extend all the way to the witch region to grab her critical nodes. There you have an elemental torture build. Great? |
